WINNIE, Texas—Two suspects were arrested and charged after breaking into a storm shelter business in Winnie, Texas, according to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.
Jamie Deandre Brown, 31, and Joshua Trahan, 20, were charged with burglary of a building.
A deputy was en route to an alarm call at Fortress Storm Shelter on October 5 when he passed a gray Dodge Charger traveling eastbound on the north service road to I-10.
Because the car was traveling away from the general area of the call, the deputy decided to conduct a traffic stop, just to check things out.
The deputy spotted tools commonly used in burglaries and saw a sheetrock-powder substance on the arms and legs of both occupants in the vehicle.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that the two were involved in the burglary.
They were placed under arrest, booked into the Chambers County Jail and each given a $20,000.00 bond.
