HOUSTON – The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is asking for the public’s help identifying two men who robbed a bank inside a local Walmart Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Woodforest Bank inside the Walmart in the 2700 block of Gessner Road.

Investigators said the men walked in, approached the teller counter, and handed over a threatening note demanding money.

The teller gave the men some cash, and they left on foot.

No one was physically harmed.

Witnesses said one of the suspects was black, about 25-30 years old and 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He had a thin build, a medium complexion, large lips and numerous tattoos, including one reading "tootie" or "tootsie" on the left side of his neck.

The second suspect was described as a young man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall in a sweatshirt, baseball hat and sunglasses.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of these suspects.

Anyone with a tip is urged to call Crime Stoppers 713-222-8477 or the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
