HOUSTON – The Houston Museum of Natural Science’s newest corpse flower has a name, museum officials announced Monday.

After taking more than 1,500 suggestions from the public and voting on the finalists, a panel of judges selected "Audrey" as the moniker for the stinky plant.

The name, inspired by the bloodthirsty plant from "The Little Shop of Horrors," was submitted by Julianne Maddox.

Audrey the corpse flower will be on display at the Cockrell Butterfly Center – the same spot where her famously fragrant counterpart, Lois, bloomed last year – through Labor Day.
