MISSOURI CITY, Texas—Texas EquuSearch is looking for volunteers to help find a Marshall man who went missing in Missouri City.

Jessie Washington, 73, was last seen on January 22 in the Lake Shore Harbor Subdivision.

Family members said Washington, his wife and his two young grandkids were on their way back to Marshall from Huntsville when they got lost and ran out of gas.

Washington, who is diabetic and takes medication for high blood pressure, left the car to find fuel and never returned.

Officers learned Washington was missing when they found the family Saturday in the parked vehicle around 9:20 p.m.

Texas EquuSearch will continue their effort to locate Washington on Saturday, January 29.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Lakeshore Village Club House, located at 3100 Palm Harbor Drive at Turtle Beach Lane in Missouri City.

EquuSearch said they’re in need of foot searchers and ATVs. Volunteers are asked to dress for cold weather and muddy terrain.

Anyone with information on Washington’s whereabouts should call the Missouri City Police Department at 281-403-8700 or Texas EquuSearch at 281-309-9500.
