ROSENBERG, Texas— Investigators know the identity of a man whose body was found lying along the side of the road in Rosenberg Tuesday morning.

The man has been identified as Vincente Manzano-Mendez, a 44-year-old Mexican National.

Manzano-Mendez’s body was found around 10 a.m. lying in the grass by a fence in the 300 block of Hartledge Road, in the southwestern portion of Fort Bend County.

There were no initial signs of trauma when they first discovered him, but his death has been since ruled a homicide.

Manzano-Mendez was last heard from April 8 in McAllen, Texas. He told someone he was in McAllen and trying to travel to Corsicana.
