HOUSTON--A man is facing charges after allegedly driving through a crowd of people outside a sports bar.
Jorge Luis Torres has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault. The 28-year-old is being held in the Harris County Jail.
Two people were hurt after Torres allegedly struck them. Deputies say the crash was the end result of a fight in the parking lot of Barney’s Billiard Saloon off the Gulf Freeway.
One injured woman was hit twice when Torres backed up his vehicle and hit her again, resulting in a broken hip and pelvis, liver injuries and ligament tears to her knee, according to HPD spokeswoman Jodi Silva.
