HOUSTON –- Houston firefighters were called to a chemical storage tank fire at a facility on Wallisville Road early Wednesday.

The fire was reported near Port Street around 2 a.m., according to the Houston Fire Department.

HFD investigators believe lightning struck the tank, which contained mineral oil. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze.

HFD said the fire was small, and no chemical release was reported.
