LEAGUE CITY — The city has received 49 applications from people seeking to be League City’s next chief of police.
Nine applicants have been interviewed, city spokeswoman Kristi Wyatt.
The city is in the middle of its search, and more candidates might be interviewed, city officials said.
League City has been without a permanent police chief since November when Chief Mike Jez and the city council decided to part ways.
