LEAGUE CITY, Texas— League City officials have confirmed that W.M. Jones Construction did not have an approved site plan before the company cut down three large oaks at Star Toyota.
Officials with Jones Construction presented The Daily News with what they said was a site plan approved March 19.
But Tony Allender, the city’s director of planning and research, said the document is part of what is needed for the permitting process with the Texas Department of Transportation to gain access from the road onto the property. The city must approve that plan before it goes to the transportation department, Allender said.
