LEAGUE CITY — There apparently will be new faces on the city council in League City, and voters also approved all seven propositions, including one that would ban red-light cameras Tuesday.
In the city council races, two incumbents lost to tea party affiliated challengers. Todd Kinsey will face John Bancock in a runoff to win the seat now held by Councilman Mike Lee, who decided not to run for re-election
Countywide, there are still 1,988 provisional ballots to be counted, and it was unclear whether that would affect League City races.
Kinsey, a 43-year-old freelance writer, received 8,903 votes, about 49.9 percent, according to complete but unofficial returns.
John Babcock received 7,303 votes, or 40.9 percent. Jay Ewend received 1,632 votes, or 9.1 percent.
