HOUSTON – A Jasper County man who went missing after he was released from a Kingwood-area mental health facility has been found safe, according to Texas EquuSearch.
Lester Carter, 56, was taken to the facility on October 28, 2011, and released on November 8.
But after that, he disappeared.
Authorities launched a search effort for him, and he was found safe Thursday.
Carter is the brother of a Jasper County Sheriff’s deputy.
