KEMAH — The growth of Kemah’s annual salute to wounded military service members has been recognized by the U.S. Army.
Officials with the U.S. Army, city of Kemah and Landry’s Inc. Kemah Boardwalk were on hand recently to sign a Military Community Covenant. The declaration serves as an official recognition that the city supports the military and its wounded in particular.
“We always appreciate communities that support the military,” said Lt. Col. David Nguyen, the head of Army recruiting efforts for the Houston region. “This is a formal declaration that we acknowledge and truly welcome the city’s support.”
