HOUSTON – A teacher at Kingwood Park High School is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
School officials sent out letters to parents with the teacher’s name on it, but KHOU 11 News is not identifying him, because he has not yet been charged.
The teacher was put on administrative leave on Friday. Then on Monday, he suddenly resigned.
The popular social studies teacher coached soccer and football at the school. He worked with the Humble Independent School District for a decade.
Some students said they don’t believe the allegations.
“I think it’s a bunch of bull that this all going on,” said Brooke Petrowski, a student. “He always talks about his family. That’s why I’m not going for it. People were talking about it in class and I was like, ‘stop.’”
Students said he always talked about his loved ones.
“He’s so nice, he’s such a good person, always doing the right thing. He was a good motivator—like at pep rallies and stuff. It’s not something he would do. He had a wife and kids,” said Aaron Bos.
The Humble ISD Police Department is still investigating.
