HOUSTON—Sugar Land’s red light cameras haven’t been up long, but some citizens are already trying to get rid of them.

A group called the Houston Coalition Against Red Light Cameras has started collecting signatures to get the issue on the ballot.

Meanwhile, city leaders claim accidents are down nearly 60 percent at intersections with the cameras.
