HOUSTON -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects in a fatal shooting of a Houston man on the city’s southeast side.

According to the HPD Homicide Division, around 3:30 a.m. on December 3, 2012, Silas Armando Najera-Hernandez, 23, and three other males were in a white Ford F-150 pickup truck, driving around the parking lot of the "Bar Uno" and playing loud music at 5829 South Gessner.

Police said after circling the parking lot a few times, the truck parked behind a dark green SUV-- possibly a Toyota 4Runner. Within moments, one or more of the individuals in the SUV fired shots at the Ford F-150, hitting the driver’s side multiple times.

The suspects fled in the green SUV.

Najera-Hernandez and another man were transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital. Najera-Hernandez died and the other man, 20, suffered non life-threatening wounds and was treated and released from the hospital.

The suspects are described only as Hispanic males in their twenties. The driver of the wanted green SUV is described as tall, heavy-set and bald. The passenger had a regular build and was wearing a dark baseball hat. Witnesses told police both suspects spoke Spanish during the incident.

Anyone with information on the wanted green 4Runner or the identity of the shooter(s) is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
