HOUSTON – Mandarin Chinese—it’s the most-spoken language in the world.
And starting next year, HISD will offer its first magnet school dedicated entirely to Mandarin.
Core subjects will be taught in Chinese.
The new school will serve elementary-age children at first, with additional grades to be added later.
