GALVESTON, Texas— A couple accused of driving with four unrestrained children were arrested on charges of felony marijuana possession, authorities said Tuesday.
David Duane Martinez Jr. and Jennifer Lea Yoder, both 29, of Galveston, were accused of having more than 11 ounces of marijuana during a 4:44 p.m. Friday traffic stop in the 1900 block of 61st Street, Galveston police Capt. Jeff Heyse said.
A police officer stopped the car because it had no front license plate, Heyse said. The car had four children, ages 3 to 9, who weren’t properly restrained, Heyse said.
