GALVESTON — A North Carolina doctor who was found dead with her husband in an apparent double suicide had eight drugs in her system, an official said Thursday.
Galveston police found the bodies of Dr. Leslie Cargile, 53, and her husband, William Cargile, 58, in a West End hotel Aug. 24.
A Galveston police spokesman said Aug. 25 that investigators found no signs of foul play.
William Cargile was dead at least a day before his wife died, said Dr. Stephen Pustilnik, Galveston County’s chief medical examiner.
