FRIENDSWOOD — Three employees at a Friendswood Papa John’s claimed an armed robber locked them inside the deep freeze before stealing an undetermined amount of cash from the register late Sunday night.
They told police a white male entered the restaurant at 10:10 p.m. with a bright green bandanna covering his face and a gun in his waistband. He also was wearing a dark-colored shirt, baseball cap and batting gloves. Employees provided police with a wide range of identifying characteristics.
Friendswood police Chief Robert Wieners said the victims described a heavyset white male between 30 and 50 years old and between 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 6 feet, 2 inches tall. They also said he had salt-and-pepper colored hair and a scruffy beard.
