HOUSTON -- Texans fan favorite Connor Barwin is heading to the Philadelphia Eagles. The linebacker signed a six-year, $36 million deal on Thursday. He’s the latest key player to move to another team.

First came the tweets.

Safety Glover Quin and tight end James Casey said “thanks” for the memories.

Connor Barwin posted Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road” music video as a farewell tribute.

Connor, we didn’t know you cared so much!

Over at the Texans Grille in City Centre, KHOU 11 News caught up with fans who consider the players as pals of sorts.

Mike Vongsoth, 34, said, “I partied with him a few times at 5th Amendment, Glitter. He loved to sing. He’s a cool guy.”

Mike and his buddy, Jeff Noravong, pulled out photos on their cell phones to prove it.

Jeff says he’s upset that Rice University graduate and tight end James Casey has signed with the Eagles.

“That’s really gonna hurt us,” said Jeff.

What about Safety Glover Quinn heading to the Detroit Lions?

James Roman figures there are better fish in the sea.

“We’re actually interviewing Ed Reed,” said James. “Ed Reed would be a good pick if we get him.”

The Texans flew Reed into Houston on a private jet.

Whatever the team the Texans put together next season, fans can agree that they only want one thing: A trip to the Super Bowl.
