HOUSTON – Construction at Hobby Airport will change the way passengers are dropped off and picked up at least through the month of May.
The airport is undergoing major construction while building the new international terminal. To accommodate the expansion, Hobby is closing the drop-off and pickup lanes on the upper level roadway for the next several weeks.
As construction progresses, it will alternate to the lanes leading to the parking garage.
“If you’re picking somebody up here at Hobby Airport, please consider our cell phone waiting lot. It’s located just to the east off Airport Boulevard. You can park there for free. You just wait for passenger to arrive. They give you a call on the cell phone. It doesn’t cost anything,” David Herbert, communications director for the airport, said.
