STAFFORD, Texas – A Missouri City Police Department officer was sent to the hospital Wednesday night after a passing driver struck his patrol car, police said.
The incident happened shortly before midnight near Murphy Road and Cash Road.
Missouri City PD said the officer was in the City of Stafford assisting with a road closure when a driver struck his car. The officer suffered minor injuries. The driver at-fault in the crash was not hurt, police said.
The driver told officers he saw that he had a green light but failed to notice the police car, which had its lights on, stopped in the intersection.
