GALVESTON -- The Coast Guard took $1 million worth of cocaine off a ship located 70 miles off the Galveston coast on Christmas Eve.
The crew of the 900-foot oil tanker Godavari Spirit called the Coast Guard after finding a suspicious package that didn’t belong on board.
Officials said inside the hidden package they found 86 pounds of cocaine.
