CLEVELAND, Texas – The family of an 11-year-old who was allegedly the victim of a gang rape in 2010 says they have started a fundraiser to help with financial troubles.
Officials say the victim’s family is in need of food, new clothing and monetary donations to help cover their medical expenses and other basic needs.
The fundraiser is being held Saturday, April 3 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the 2910 block of Navigation Boulevard.
Donations may be made to The Cleveland Crime Victim Benefit Fund, which can be directly deposited at all Amegy Bank locations.
According to the case worker, the family has been moved and placed in hiding for their safety.
