GALVESTON, Texas – The Carnival Triumph returned to port Saturday afternoon after a passenger had a medical emergency, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

USCG officials said the medical emergency was not life-threatening, so they did not fly out to the cruise ship.

The officials aboard the cruise ship told the Coast Guard that it would be just easier for the ship to return to port and drop the passenger off.
