HOUSTON—Houston police stepped up security Monday at Carnegie Vanguard High School after school officials discovered a threat on social media.

The Houston Independent School District would not say what the threat was, just that they are informing parents of the extra police patrols on campus.

This is one of dozens of school threats we’ve had lately in the Houston area, including the one last week at Friendswood High School.

Nothing came of any of those threats.
