SANTA FE, Texas -- Police are investigating a burglary of a Santa Fe man where the crook got away with $1,500 worth of quarters.

Santa Fe police say they were called to a residence in the 13500 block of 18th Street on Tuesday.

The man told police he returned home to find a window up and a ladder moved away from his trailer. At first, the victim thought the wind had knocked the ladder over, but soon realized a bucket of quarters was missing.

He estimated that he had about $1,500 worth of quarters in the bucket.

Santa Fe police say the burglary is under investigation. Anyone with information about incident is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Division at 409-925-2000.
