HOUSTON -- Harris County Toll Road Authority is set to increase rates, starting in September. 

Tolls for Sam Houston, Westpark Tollway, Hardy Toll Road, and the toll booth for Fort Bend Parkway (inside Harris County) will jump to $1.40 (up from $1.30) for EZ Tag and to $1.75 (up from $1.50) for cash.

The increase also affects the Katy Freeway Managed Lanes.  The toll will jump from $4 to $5, during peak hours, which will be shifted to 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

The rate changes are expected to take place September 8.
