BAYTOWN, Texas – A 41-year-old woman has been charged after she was accused of having a relationship with an underage male teenager in Baytown, police said.
Tamika Patrice Taylor, of Baytown, is charged with sexual assault of a child and continuous sexual assault of a child, court records state.
According to the Baytown Police Department, Taylor met the teenage victim, who lived in the same apartment complex located in the 1300 block of Memorial Drive, in 2012.
Investigators said the two developed a sexual relationship. After Taylor sent naked photos of herself to the victim, she invited him over to her apartment where the two then had sex.
Then victim’s mother had located derogatory text messages sent between the two, police said. She then confronted Taylor, who denied sending her son the text messages and photos.
The victim’s mother began investigating and the messages later continued, police said. She then questioned her son more with questions until he admitted that he and Taylor had been having a sexual relationship for some time.
Investigators found that Taylor and the victim had sex on three separate occasions.
The mother reported the incident to police, who then arrested Taylor after an investigation.
Taylor was interviewed by detectives and she confessed to having a sexual relationship with the teen.
Taylor's total bonds have been set at $80,000 and she remains in police custody.
