GALVESTON — A woman tackled from behind while jogging on Galveston’s seawall said Tuesday that despite her screams, no one stopped to help during her struggle with the man who attacked her.

The woman, who didn’t give her name, claims police also detained a man after a second female jogger was attacked about 25 minutes later at 51st Street and Avenue N1/2.

Police aren’t releasing the names of the women attacked Monday morning because they were victims of possible sex crimes. A police spokesman declined to confirm whether authorities detained a man in the case. Police reported no arrest.
