GALVESTON, Texas — An 18-month probe into illegal narcotics sales in three cities led to the arrest of five people and the seizure of drugs and cash, authorities said Friday.
Sheriff’s deputies aided members of the FBI, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Galveston police in the Thursday seizure of what authorities said was $60,000 in cocaine, ecstasy and methamphetamine.
Officers also reported seizing $10,930 in cash from a residence at 18 Colony Park Circle in Galveston, according to a statement.
A search of the residence on Colony Park Circle led to the seizure of 9 ounces of cocaine, 129 grams of ecstasy and 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, authorities said. Authorities said they suspected the cash seized was from drug sales.
