DOBBIN, Texas (AP) -- A second woman who was injured in a house explosion near a Houston-area town has died.
The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office says that 65-year-old Lena Mock Knight died Saturday in a Houston hospital due to burn injuries she suffered in last week’s blast. Her 55-year-old sister, Jennifer Mock, died on Thursday.
The marshal’s office says Wyatt Mock, Jennifer Mock’s 8-month-old grandson, continues to improve while hospitalized at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and his prognosis is good.
The three were burned and severely injured Tuesday morning when their house in Dobbin exploded. Investigators suspect a stove ignited a propane accumulation from a tank leak.
The town of about 300 residents is about 50 miles northwest of Houston.
