HUMBLE, Texas -- Gun rights activists staged a march in an effort to make it legal to carry any firearm in plain view.
The demonstration began Saturday morning at the intersection of East Main Street and South Avenue C.
The marchers walked with rifles and shotguns strapped to their backs. Demonstrators said the idea is to help people get over the shock of seeing a weapon in public.
The demonstration was held by a group called Come and Take It Kingwood, a local chapter of a larger national movement.
