GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas -- A multiagency drug warrant sweep through parts of northern Texas City and unincorporated Dickinson on Tuesday netted 11 people, most wanted on drug distribution charges, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office officials said.
“Galveston County Sheriff’s Special Crimes Unit detectives started an investigation several months ago stemming from neighborhood complaints and reports from patrol deputies working the Dickinson area,” sheriff’s office spokesman Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo said.
The sheriff’s office was joined in the round up by members of the U.S. Marshals office, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, Texas Department of Public Safety narcotics troopers, detectives from the Galveston County Auto Crimes Task Force and Dickinson and Houston police department officers.
