SPOKANE, Wash.-- A convenience store in Utah is making history. It is selling beer for the first time in 153 years.
Hyde Park has a population of about 4,000. The town banned selling alcohol in 1860 back when it was founded by L.D.S. settlers.
Voters reversed the ban in early November when they headed to the polls.
But the ban only applies to beer. Anyone who wants liquor or wine still has to drive to the state liquor store about five miles away.
