NEW YORK -- The FBI has arrested a New York woman for allegedly scamming donations in the name of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.
Agents say she lied to them during their investigation.
According to the federal complaint,Nouel Alba posed as a victim's relative and used Facebook, phone calls and text messages to solicit money for a funeral fund.
Alba is charged with lying to federal agents and was released on $50,000 bond.
On December 14, a 20-year old gunman opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., killing 26 people just after he killed his mother in their home.
