HOUSTON (AP) — A 24-year-old man has been charged with capital murder in the shooting deaths of three people last month at a Houston apartment.
Jacory Tyrell Chatham was being held without bond Wednesday at the Harris County jail. Police say he's charged in the April 27 deaths of 55-year-old Sergio Bentancourt, 43-year-old Marlene Campos and 25-year-old Caren Texis-Villada.
The door to the apartment had been kicked in and all three were found dead at the scene.
Chatham was arrested Monday and two other suspects are being sought.
Authorities did not indicate a motive for the slayings but said the apartment was being used for prostitution.
Online jail records did not list an attorney for Chatham.
A 43-year-old woman was arrested on a charge of aggravated promotion of prostitution in connection to the case.
