BEASLEY, Texas (AP) — A Houston-area traffic stop has led to a box full of bucks that added up to nearly $170,000 in suspected drug money confiscated.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office on Friday said the traffic stop happened on U.S. 59 near Beasley.

Officers with a narcotics task force stopped a passenger vehicle for a traffic violation. A drug-sniffing dog helped locate the cash in a box in the back of the vehicle.

Investigators say 60-year-old Isidro Sosa of Olmito was arrested during Monday's traffic stop. Sosa was booked on a money laundering charge and freed Tuesday on $15,000 bond.

No publicly listed phone number for Sosa could immediately be located Saturday. Details on the traffic violation were not immediately released.
