ROCKWALL, Texas (AP) — Authorities in North Texas have begun the process of identifying jurors for the upcoming trials in the slayings of the Kaufman County district attorney, his chief deputy and his wife.

KXAS-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1jDtrV9 ) the selection process is expected to take months before the October trial for Eric Williams, a former justice of the peace in Kaufman County, east of Dallas. Williams and his wife, Kim, are accused of gunning down Kaufman DA Mike McLelland, his wife, Cynthia, and prosecutor Mark Hasse.

Prosecutors contend Eric Williams was seeking revenge after being found guilty of stealing three computer monitors from an office building.

According to documents filed by authorities, Kim Williams confessed to the killings and identified her husband as the shooter.
