DALLAS (AP) — Inclement weather has moved across much of Texas with the Panhandle receiving snowfall and rain hampering commuters in North Texas south to the Houston area.
At least an inch of snow fell Tuesday on Amarillo with forecasters calling for up to five inches in some areas. A hazardous weather advisory is in effect until noon for much of the Panhandle, with icy conditions reported south in the Lubbock area.
A light rain fell in North Texas as temperatures are expected to move into the upper 40s. Scattered showers are forecast for the Houston region through Tuesday afternoon, but skies will clear and temperatures will reach about 60 degrees.
Most of Central Texas will be clear with temps in the upper 50s. But rain is falling on San Antonio and parts of South Texas.
