ANAHUAC, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a man has been arrested in the shooting death of a man in a road rage incident in Southeast Texas.

Fifty-six-year-old Larry Dewayne Brinkley of Houston remained in Chambers County jail Sunday on a murder charge. Bond was set at $750,000. Jail records did not list an attorney.

Chambers County sheriff's deputies say Brinkley was driving his 15-year-old daughter home on Friday when, according to witnesses, he cut off another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, 54-year-old Leslie Larrison, then pulled in behind Brinkley when he stopped and they argued.

Authorities say Brinkley then went back to his car, got a handgun and fatally shot Larrison, whose 10-year-old grandson witnessed it from the car.

Brinkley fled, but was captured by sheriff's deputies after a brief chase.
