HOUSTON (AP) — Four people have been found dead in a home in the northwest Houston suburb of Cypress.
A Harris County Sheriff's Office statement says the bodies were found about 7:30 p.m. Thursday by deputies making a welfare check.
The Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/1ectowi ) reports that Capt. Rolf Nelson said at a news conference a friend of the family called for the welfare check because one of the adults hadn't gone to work "in a couple of days."
Nelson said authorities believed it was a family, but he wouldn't give details about the people found inside, including how they died. Investigators were awaiting a report from the Harris County medical examiner's office.
