HOUSTON (AP) — Authorities say a 33-year-old man has been arrested on charges he sexually assaulted a woman in her Houston-area home and is considered a suspect in a second assault.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said Saturday that Rickey Lee Zepeda is charged with sexual assault and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He's accused of assaulting a 23-year-old woman Jan. 7 in Cypress, northwest of Houston.
Authorities say he's also a suspect in a second home invasion and assault of a woman in the same area Tuesday. They say charges are pending in that case.
It wasn't clear Saturday where Zepeda is being held and sheriff's officials weren't immediately available for comment.
The sheriff's office was joined by the state Department of Public Safety and Texas Rangers in apprehending Zepeda.
