FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A man is charged with aggravated assault in a shooting and police standoff at a Fort Worth house that ended after a tear gas round started a fire in the house.
Police say the four-hour standoff ended Sunday night when SWAT officers shot several tear gas rounds into the home where the man had barricaded himself.
He surrendered when the fire broke out. Firefighters were summoned to put out the blaze.
The man wounded in the shooting that sparked the standoff was hospitalized but his condition hasn't been made available.
