DALLAS (AP) — A man has died in a Dallas house fire in which passers-by were able to rescue a woman.
Dallas Fire-Rescue says a man on his way to a recreation center across from the home saw smoke Thursday morning and called 911. Then he and two other men went into the home and rescued the woman but were unable to reach the man.
Fire officials say the woman was taken to a local hospital as a precaution after inhaling a little smoke.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and being investigated.
The body of the man has been sent for an autopsy.
