HOUSTON (AP) — The FBI is searching for a man who robbed a downtown Houston bank by passing through a crowd enjoying a holiday concert on his entrance and exit.
According to a statement from the FBI on Wednesday, a holiday concert was taking place in the lobby of the office building where a Chase Bank branch is located on Main Street, shortly before noon Wednesday. The man passed through the crowd going into and leaving the bank without disrupting the concert. He gave a bank teller a note demanding money and was seen leaving the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The agency dubbed him the "Ebenezer Scrooge bandit."
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the man.
