DALLAS (AP) — A convicted drug trafficker in North Texas has been sentenced to more than 22 years in prison.
A federal judge in Dallas on Friday sentenced 25-year-old John Garcia. The Dallas man was convicted of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
Irving police in March 2009 found cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and seven guns in a house managed by Garcia, who then was a fugitive for more than a year.
Prosecutors say Garcia was the subject of an hour-long speed chase throughout the Dallas area over Thanksgiving weekend in 2010.
