ROMA, Texas (AP) — A Customs and Border Protection helicopter with apparent main rotor blade damage has made a safe landing in South Texas.

Customs officials say nobody was injured in the emergency landing Tuesday afternoon in a vacant lot in the border town of Roma.

Authorities are investigating how the helicopter was damaged while on patrol and assisting agents on the ground.

The CBP and the Federal Aviation Administration had no immediate additional details Wednesday.
