DESOTO, Texas (AP) — Police in the Dallas suburb of DeSoto have arrested five people, two of them juveniles, for the shooting death last week of a 16-year-old from Dallas.
Authorities said Friday all five will be charged with capital murder for the Oct. 17th slaying of Lovell Jenkins III. Police believe he was targeted for robbery while sitting in a car with two friends in DeSoto, just south of Dallas.
Those arrested include 18-year-old Kyel Rodriguez, 20-year-old Lamaud Mathis and his 18-year-old brother Tramon. Names of the two juveniles have been withheld.
A friend in the car with Jenkins tells The Dallas Morning News (http://dallasne.ws/17Q7dny ) a group of men was at the end of a street and two of them approached and pulled guns.
