KILLEEN, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a 29-year-old Central Texas man has been arrested in the death last year of a man whose vehicle crashed into the backyard of a home after he'd been shot.
Killeen police say Donald Lee Mitchell Jr. was arrested Thursday at home in Harker Heights, located just outside of Killeen, by agents with the U.S. Marshal's Office. Mitchell had been been indicted Wednesday by a Bell County grand jury. He remained in Bell County jail Friday on $200,000 bond.
Forty-one-year-old Dominque Allen Davis was found shot in his vehicle in August 2011 after his vehicle crashed through a fence and into a backyard. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
